Honours

January, 2018 – The Snow Job

I’m pleased to announce that I (along with my manuscript The Snow Job) have been named as one of five finalists, in the mystery category, for the 2017 Freddie Award for Writing Excellence, an annual award presented by the Florida Chapter of Mystery Writers of America. The awards will be presented at Sleuthfest in Boca Raton in early March.

April, 2017 – Concrete Becomes Her

FinalistIn April, 2017 Concrete Becomes Her (the first in the Donner Lake series) was shortlisted for the Unhanged Arthur award for the best unpublished first crime novel. (A few years ago my first novel, The Snow Job, also made the short list.)

The Unhanged Arthur award is one of The Crime Writers of Canada’s  Arthur Ellis awards for crime fiction. The awards are named for the “nom de noose” of Canada’s first official hangman.
